Lok Sabha drops Question Hour, takes up special discussion on Quit India Movement

Lok Sabha today did not take up Question Hour and took up  a special discussion on the Quit India movement as a mark of tribute to country's freedom fighters.

Making the announcement, Speaker Sumitra Mahajan said though Quit India movement was the last major crusade of freedom fighters for country's independence, right from the beginning of colonial rule, farmers, the native rulers and soldiers all had the spirit of Swaraj in them.
