Lok Sabha adjourned sine die, House passed 14 Bills during Monsoon session

Thanking the Members for their cooperation in conduct of the House, Speaker Sumitra Mahajan said as many as 14 Bills were passed during the session - that had got underway on July 17.

The Lok Sabha was adjourned sine die today marking the completion of the Monsoon session of Parliament.

Thanking the Members for their cooperation in conduct of the House, Speaker Sumitra Mahajan said as many as 14 Bills were passed during the session - that had got underway on July 17.

She also said 17 new Bills were introduced in the House during the session. The Speaker also said that besides conducting normal legislative business, the Monsoon session this year also saw a special discussion on 75 years of Quit India Movement.

The session this year was also punctuated with the voting by Members for election of the President and the Vice President.
