The Madhya Pradesh Madarsa Board has directed all madrasa in the state to celebrate the Independence Day and send photographs of their I-Day celebration.

According to a directive issued by MP Madrasa Board Chairman Prof. Syed Imamuddin, on the occasion of Independence Day, madarsa administrators will hoist the tricolour, take out rallies or join other such rallies and organize cultural programmes.

The Madrasa authorities will also have to click photographs of their celebration of the Independence Day and send the same to the Madrasa board office.

Talking to IANS, Imamuddin said that there was neither anything new about the directive, nor it was being issued for the first time.

"Every year madrasas hoist the national flag and their photographs are also called in by the board," he added.
