Rahul meets Prince Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa at Bahrain New Delhi, Jan 8 (UNI) Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Monday met Prince Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa at Bahrain, the AICC said here.

Mr Gandhi, who is in Bahrain to attend an NRIs conclave, met the Bahrain Prince at Al Wadi Palace.

''Congress President Rahul Gandhi met Prince Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa at the Al Wadi Palace. They spoke about sports in Bahrain in general (Horse endurance) and competing in Iron Man. They also plan to develop sports and cricket together,'' the AICC said in a statement here.

Party sources said the visit is part of the efforts, to strengthen the party base among the NRIs.
