Privilege issue moved against Kiran Bedi

In a joint memorandum signed by legislators Lakshminarayanana, Theepanjan, Balan, Jayamurthy, Anantharaman, Dhanavelu, Vijayaveni (All belonging to Congress) and Geetha Anand (DMK) and submitted to Speaker V Vaithilingam, they said that the Lt Governor for quite some time has been acting in such a way to lower the freedom of the legislative Assembly.

This poses a question mark on the freedom of the legislative assembly, they said. She had also created an impression in the minds of the public that those enacting legislation are violating the same, affecting the rights of every legislators. Bedi has cast a shame on the house by lowering the dignity of the House, the legislators said in their petition.
