Stalin will fill M Karunanidhi’s place, says Narayanasamy

Rich tributes were paid to DMK president and former Tamil Nadu chief minister M Karunanidhi, who had died on August 7, at a function organised by the party (North) here on Sunday.

Paying homage to Karunanidhi and unveiling his full size photograph, Chief Minister V Narayanasamy said DMK working president MK Stalin will fill the vacuum left by the DMK patriarch. This the right time for all secular forces to come together, Narayanasamy added. The Cabinet colleagues of Narayanasamy, Speaker V Vaithilingam, Leader of the Opposition N Rangasamy, legislators and representatives of the CPI and VCK were among others who participated and paid floral tribute to the departed leader.

A similar function was organised on the beach here last night by the DMK (South) in which also several political party leaders took part.
