BJP inducts former ISRO chief Madhavan Nair and 4 others

Former ISRO Chief Madhavan Nair, former Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) President and suspended congress leader Raman Nair were among the five who joined hands with BJP during Amit Shah's visit to Kerala.

In the view of strengthening his party ahead of parliamentary election, BJP president Amit Shah pitched his tent in turmoil-stricken Kerala where he was met by several eminent personalities.

Former ISRO Chief Madhavan Nair, former Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) President Raman Nair, former Women's Commission member Prameela Devi, Thomas John from the Malankara Church, JDS district vice-president Divakaran Nair joined BJP in the presence of Amit Shah.

Earlier, Raman Nair was suspended from the party for taking part in protest rally organised by BJP against entry of women into Sabarimala. 

Besides this, Pandalam Royal Family members SasiKumar Varma and Narayana Varma also met Amit Shah.
