BJP to file contempt plea against Pondy CM

The BJP is contemplating to file a contempt of court petition against Chief Minister V Narayanasamy and his Parliamentary Secretary K Lakshminarayanan for criticising the Supreme Court judgment on the three nominated party members’ issue.

Talking to reporters on Monday, BJP state president V Saminathan MLA (nominated) said that the Madras High Court as well as the Supreme Court has validated the nomination of three members to the territorial assembly.

But Lakshminarayanan is criticising the judgment and issued a statement that the Central government is forcing the people of Puducherry to go for another freedom struggle.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister said that there is loophole in the SC judgment. When the Chief Minister is criticising the apex court judgment, the public here will not accept it, he added. 

Saminathan,  who demanded that Lakshminarayan be removed from the post of the Parliamentary Secretary said that the contempt of court case against the Speaker is pending before the SC and the BJP is contemplating to file a contempt case against the CM  and Lakshminarayanan..
