Don’t spare Pondy to allies, says Anbazhagan

Talking to reporters, Anbazhagan said the alliance with any other party in Tamil Nadu would also apply here and added that in case of a mega alliance, the party high command would be pressed to get the Puducherry Lok Sabha seat for the AIADMK.

Even if contesting alone, the AIADMK would win the seat, he claimed, adding that those who came to power by ‘cheating’ the people did nothing in the last two years and there was only power struggle here. Anbazhagan said that the Congress party is gripped with fear of defeat and hence, ‘behind the scene’ activities are on to give away the Puducherry seat to the DMK.  He also said that he got proof with him to substantiate the claim.

The AIADMK leader also said that even if the main opposition NR Congress is in alliance with the AIADMK, the party would get the Puducherry seat through proper dialogue. Anbazhagan alleged that the Congress-DMK alliance government here is not concentrating on important matters relating to the people’s welfare and on the other hand it concentrated more on the Lok Sabha elections, though the schedule is yet to be announced.
