Narayanasamy on Monday tweeted “it is a clear case of political vendetta. The BJP-led NDA government at the Centre is using the CBI for filing false cases against officers. We all stand with West Bengal Chief Minister.”

“Time has come for Modi government to go,” the Chief Minister said.

Later, talking to reporters, Narayanasamy said that the Union government is making efforts to tarnish the image of Mamata Banerjee by using the CBI.

He said the CBI itself is plunged in corruption. After Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to power, the agencies such as CBI, Enforcement Directorate and Income Tax are being utilised against the Opposition leaders, he alleged, adding that Banerjee observing a dharna against the CBI is a just act.

The Chief Minister said, the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre is not concerned with any corruption in the BJP ruled states and on the other hand when the elections are round the corner, Prime Minister is trying to victimise opposition leaders in the name of corruption. The present act of the CBI is to tarnish the image of Mamata Banerjee, who had recently integrated the opposition parties and organised a meeting.

The ensuing Lok Sabha elections will give a reply to all actions of the BJP-led Centre, he added.
