Former TN chief secretary appointed advisor to Pawan Kalyan’s party
Jana Sena founder Pawan Kalyan appointed former Tamil Nadu Chief Secretary Rama Mohana Rao as his political advisor at his Vijayawada office on Monday.

Part of the 1985 Tamil Nadu IAS batch, Rao spent 32 years in Tamil Nadu under various capacities including as Secretary to then Chief Minister Jayalalithaa from 2011 to 2016.
Rao was appointed Chief Secretary of Tamil Nadu in 2016 until I-T raids at his office and residence. He was then removed from the post in December 2016.
On Kalyan and his new role, he said, “I see Jayalalithaa’s qualities in Pawan. He has been with the people.”
