Through a video, some of the 40-staff members of the school, including divers, depicted their diversity. “In the current day, there is a lot of discussion on the need to respect the different backgrounds people in our country come from and maintain unity.
Even in our group, we have staff members from different parts of the country, including Assam, Manipur, Punjab, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Telangana. We also have an Australian-born person working along with us. So we all wanted to showcase this unity in diversity,” the group’s COO Donarun Das, also a diver, tells us.
In the video, shared on social media, the divers can be seen dressed in traditional attires from their home states while going underwater to hold up the national flag. “Beyond the love for the oceans and the thirst to explore, it is also the bonds we have formed with each other.
In ways more than one, our group is microcosmic of the rich and diverse country we are proud to call home,” one of the divers narrates in the video.
