Kejriwal pays obeisance at Hanuman Mandir

He visited the Temple along with his wife Sunita, daughter Harshita, son Pulkit Kejriwal and Deputy CM Manish Sisodia.

"Hanuman-ji sab ka bhalla karenge (the God will bless everyone)," the CM told reporters outside the Temple.

Earlier in the day, while addressing the party workers at the party headquarters, Mr Kejriwal said, "Today it was Tuesday, the day of Hanuman-ji. The God has showered Delhi with blessings. I hope Hanuman-ji will keep guiding us so that we, the two crore people of Delhi, will take the city to a new height."

The recitation of the Hanuman Chalisa during his campaign provoked the BJP to say that he was 'resorting to Hindutva to win'.

On the eve of the voting too on Friday, Mr Kejriwal visited the ancient Mandir. The BJP Delhi Unit president Manoj Tiwari had termed his visit as ''Nakli Bhakti''(pseudo-devotion).

At time of the filling the report, Mr Kejriwal was leading with 21697 votes from New Delhi constituency.

The AAP surged to a win in 63 seats in the 70-member Legislative Assembly, counting of votes which was taken up on Tuesday after the elections held on Saturday.

In 2015, AAP had won 67 seats, while BJP could win three seats. The Congress drew a blank for the first time in Delhi.
