Covid-19 cases cross 2,100 in Jharkhand, active infections 685
Multiplying more than three times in the last three weeks, the total number of coronavirus cases crossed 2,100 in Jharkhand on Sunday. The number of Covid-19 cases was around 600 in the first week of the month.

With the recovery of 13 patients on Monday, the number of active cases in the state is 685. So far, 11 people have died and 1,406 discharged, according to the Health Department data.
Of the 2,100 cases, 1,700 were returnees from various coronavirus hotspots in the country, like Maharashtra, Gujarat, Delhi and Tamil Nadu.
Jharkhand reported its first coronavirus case on March 31 as a Malaysian woman tested Covid-19 positive.
Of the 1,22,757 samples collected, 1,21,770 have been tested in the state.
The state has allowed reopening of garments and footwear shops. The religious places are still closed.
