SEHAT health scheme to be launched by PM Modi for JK on Dec 26

All citizens of Jammu and Kashmir are set to receive the health insurance benefit extended by the central government from Saturday through the PMJAY-SEHAT scheme.

The Ayushman Bharat scheme covers Rs 5 lakh for health issues per year on a floater basis.
 
The PMJAY-SEHAT insurance scheme envisages to provide cashless health coverage of Rs 5 lakhs.

The Office of Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, said that all inhabitants of the Union Territory will receive free cashless health cover up to Rs 5 lakhs.

Also, the National Health Authority informed crossing over 1.5 crore preauthorisations under this scheme on its Twitter handle.
