10 flights cancelled at Chennai Airport due to low passenger turnout

CHENNAI: A total of 10 flights were cancelled on October 4 at Chennai International Airport due to insufficient passenger numbers and administrative issues. This included five departure flights and five arrival flights.

The five departure flights from Chennai include Akasa Airlines passenger flight to Andaman at 7.45 am, Air India flight to Sri Lanka at 11.20 am, Air India flight to Bangalore at 1.20 am, Akasa Airlines flight to Bangalore at 1.40 am, Air India passenger to Mumbai at 3.25 pm has been cancelled.

Similarly arriving flights include Akasa Airlines flight from Bangalore to Chennai at 7.05 am, Air India flight from Mumbai at 12.05 pm, Akasa Airlines flight from Andaman at 1 am, Air India flight from Madurai at 2.45 pm, Air India flight from Sri Lanka at 3.40 pm have been canceled today.

Chennai airport officials stated that passengers were informed in advance and reassured that no major inconvenience occurred, as alternative flight arrangements were made for those affected.
