Cyclone Fengal to cross coast at 11:30 pm
The Cyclone Fengal is centered about 30 kilometers near Puducherry.
The RMC has predicted that the cyclone will fully cross the coast by 11:30 pm.
'Stagnant rainwater will be cleared by tonight,' says Minister KKSSR Ramachandran
Speaking to the media, Minister KKSSR Ramachandran stated that the rain and wind speeds have decreased in Chennai without causing significant damage.
He also added that efforts are underway to remove all stagnant rainwater in the city by tonight.

Heavy rains expected on Dec 1 till 8:30 am for 7 districts in TN
Chennai, Tiruvallur, Villupuram, Cuddalore, Kancheepuram, Chengalpattu and Kallakurichi to receive heavy rains till 8:30 am on December 1.
Marina loop road at Pattinapakkam is completely under police protection.
Public are advised not to travel on loop road near Marina Beach.
Thanthi TV reported that there are many cars and autos travelling on the loop road, even after instructions issued by police authorities.
The cyclone that is moving at 7 km per hour made the landfall about 60 km east-northeast of Puducherry, said the Regional Meteorological Centre, Chennai.

Cyclone Fengal has finally begun making the landfall, with the forward sector of spiral bands entering land at 7 pm on Saturday.

Cyclone Fengal has started to cross over the coast from 5:30 pm on Saturday: Thanthi TV report.
Heavy winds with speed up to 70 to 80 km per hour, is expected in the next 3 hours.
