Though the 21-year-old had a disappointing IPL 2024, with 435 runs in 15 innings with a century and fifty at a strike rate of 155.91, one cannot rule out this opener because of his technical prowess and maturity beyond his years. For India, he has scored 502 runs in 16 innings at an average of 33.46 and a strike rate of 161.46, with a century and four fifties.

Tristan Stubbs (South Africa)
Having not made much impact in international cricket till yet, this 23-year-old had a breakthrough IPL with Delhi Capitals, scoring 378 runs in 13 innings with three fifties and a strike rate of over 190. If he replicates his IPL form, Stubbs could be a fine finisher in death overs for Proteas.

Cameron Green (Australia)
Having made just 139 runs in eight T20Is for Australia at an average of just over 17, Green has not clicked in the shortest format for Australia. But the all-rounder had a solid IPL with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), chipping in a useful 255 runs at an average of 31.87 and a strike rate of over 143 and taking 10 wickets. If he plays in the top order, this hard-hitting batter could be a useful asset, given he bowls his 3-4 overs of pace as well.

Will Jacks (England)
The English all-rounder had a debut IPL season to remember, scoring 230 runs in eight innings with a century and fifty and taking two wickets. Him accelerating from 50 to 100 in just 10 balls against Gujarat Titans showed to the world his capabilities. Tasked with playing in top order for England, he will have to go all guns blazing from the start. He is also a capable spinner as well.
