CHENNAI: Chief Minister M K Stalin on Tuesday announced that over 75,000 state government posts would be filled before January 2026.

Making a suo motu statement under Rule 110 in the State Assembly, Stalin said, “I would like to make an announcement for the youths of the state. About 17,595 posts through Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC), 19,260 teacher posts through Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB), 3,041 posts through Medical Recruitment Board (MRB), and 6,688 posts through TamilNadu Uniform Service Recruitment Board (TNUSRB) will be filled within the next 18 months.

Altogether, 46,584 posts would be filled in the state government before January 2026, the CM added.

Additionally, another 30,219 vacancies in the departments of social welfare, municipal administration, and water supply would be filled as well, the CM stated, adding that a total of over 75,000 posts would be filled before January 2026.

Claiming credit for providing 5.08 lakh private jobs to the state's youth, the Chief Minister observed that information from the Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) regarding the jobs created in the organized private sector in the state in the last three years showed that as many as 77,78,999 jobs were created for the youth and provident fund accounts opened for them.

In addition to this, another 3,06,459 jobs have been created so far for educated youths under the CM's Naan Muthalvan scheme, he added.

Noting that another 2,01,596 private jobs were created for the youth through the various special employment camps conducted by the state labour department in the incumbent regime, the CM said, “Our youth are our strength. They are the foundation for future wealth", adding that his government was working meticulously in creating jobs to make constructive use of the youth force.
