Guv Ravi, CM Stalin and other leaders extend Onam greetings

CHENNAI: Governor R N Ravi, Chief Minister MK Stalin, and other leaders extended their Onam greetings on Sunday.

Wishing all Indians on the occasion of Onam, Governor Ravi said, "As we celebrate King Mahabali and the values of honesty, compassion, and sacrifice he represents, may this harvest festival bring peace, prosperity, and good health to everyone and inspire a spirit of unity and harmony among us all."

I extend my warmest greetings to all Indian brothers and sisters around the world, he noted.

In a message in Malayalam, Chief Minister MK Stalin said, "Hearty Onam greetings my Malayalee brothers and sisters."

"May this festive season bring hope and strength to my Dravidian brothers and sisters in Kerala and all over the world, who are recovering from the impact of a major natural disaster," Stalin said in a social media post, alluding to the series of landslides that occurred in Wayanad district recently.

"Let this Onam reflect the unity and survival of the Malayalees," added Stalin.

State BJP president K Annamalai said, "On behalf of the Tamil Nadu BJP, we extend our heartfelt Onam wishes to our brothers and sisters of the Malayali community. May this celebration, which reflects Kerala's exquisite culture and tradition, bring abundant joy, prosperity, and peace to all. Onam Ashamsakal."

Actor and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam president Vijay also greeted Malayalees in their language, Malayalam, on the occasion of Onam.
