Mahout among 2 trampled to death by elephant at Tiruchendur temple

CHENNAI: Two individuals, including a mahout, were trampled to death by an elephant at the Tiruchendur Murugan Temple

According to a Daily Thanthi report, the victims have been identified as Udhaya, the mahout, and one of his relatives.

Udhaya and his relative had approached the elephant to feed fruits when they were trampled to death.

Despite being rushed to the hospital, they succumbed to their injuries during treatment, the report added.
