CHENNAI: Responding to the speculations, State BJP president K Annamalai on Friday said the party high-command and Prime Minister Narendra Modi knows how to use him for the next 60 days.

"I don't know from where and who told the information that I will contest in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. Till date, I have been given a responsibility as a state president. If the party high-command tells me to contest, I will contest. If they assign me some other work, I will do it. I have no personal grudge against the party. Party's decision is my decision and It is PM Modi's decision on how to use Annamalai for the next sixty days, " Annamalai told reporters after attending the BJP manifesto preparation committee meeting at Aminjikarai here.

Further, the saffron party leader said the details of alliance partners who will be attending Prime Minister Narendra Modi's public meeting, which will be held in the city on March 4 will be disclosed in a couple of days.

Taking a dig at the DMK scion Udhayanidhi, Annamalai said the Stalin Junior is not even a speck of dust on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's toenail.

"He is not qualified to talk about Modi's grandfather. Without his father and grandfather's name and background he won't even get two votes. He is not a good actor like Rajinikanth or Kamal Haasan. He is a failed actor. He entered into cinema by acting in Santhanam's film. He must look at his standards and speak, " Annamalai said alluding to Udhayanidhi's remarks that even Modi's grandfather can not destroy Stalin's DMK.

TN becomes the drug capital of India

State BJP president K Annamalai on Friday flayed Chief Minister MK Stalin for remaining tight-lipped over the drug trafficking issue.

"Tamil Nadu has truly become the drug capital of India and CM Stalin should hand his head in shame for transforming this state into a haven for drug traffickers. While the widespread network of Jaffer Sadiq is being exposed, Stalin remains tight-lipped, leaving one to wonder if he would wake up and act or employ his cronies to divert people's attention to insignificant issues, " he said in a social media post.
