A sniffer dog pressed into service to track the killers of Dhubaleshwar and Munna

COIMBATORE: Three migrant workers were arrested on Wednesday for assaulting two others to death in Namakkal. The accused persons -- S Dashrath Bading (21), S Rajan Laguri (23) and K Mansingh Gagrai (22) -- hailing from Jharkhand, broke into a quarrel in an inebriated condition with S Dhubaleshwar Seth (26) Odisha and R Munna (26) from Jharkhand on Monday night. They all were working in a spinning mill at Veppadai in Pallipalayam. The local villagers intervened and pacified them as they got into a fistfight. However, on their way home, the trio picked up a stone and smashed the heads of the duo, killing them on the spot. They were found dead by the public in a thicket along Patharai Road on Tuesday morning. Their bodies were sent to Namakkal Government Hospital for post-mortem.
