Liberation of the self
The highest pride of being a human is being an Indian, not because of its economy or its present status. It’s because this is the only land which always insists on the fact that all humans are the same and there is no discrimination between us.

Our country strongly believes in the principles put forth by our great sages and siddhars who are considered as the absolute guiding and guarding force of the beautiful spiritual land called India.
They all insisted on two major facts - we all are created by the same source called divine power and therefore the entire humanity has to be treated equally without any discrimination based on caste, community, economic status or nationality. That is the ultimate truth and meaning of Vasudeva Kudumbakam. Not everyone is blessed enough to attain the state of moksha or mukthi but everyone can live with this state of buddhi.
That is the reason why Hinduism is never treated as a religion; it’s treated as a marga or methodology. Hindu margam which is also called as Ananda margam refers to the “way” towards the eternal truth. Anything in the name of Hinduism which discriminates humans can never be called as Hinduism. The so called superficial beliefs and other misguiding belief systems in the name of spiritual approach can never be considered as Hinduism. Our own Vedas and Shastras too insist on this very divine truth.
Avadhuta Gita
Apart from these two, there are other life-changing scriptures in our land which was once known as Hindustan. One such ancient text is “Avadhuta Gita” attributed to Lord Dattatreya. Both Shaiva Siddhanta and Avadhuta Gita reveal the same principle - Sarvam Sivamayam.
There is no possibility of discrimination between you and God. There is no separation. Realising this truth and meditating is the only path to liberation. Everything in this universe revolves around the word Shiva and this ultimate power exists within you as life all the time. Shaiva Siddhanta reiterates. the same truth in a beautiful way- Jeevan SivanAnan.
Lord Dattatreya took all the efforts not to speak about God but to speak about the methods and scientific ways to experience oneness with the God within, which will ultimately liberate you from all the pain and sufferings to live a life you really want. His teachings are therefore called as Avadhuta Gita which means instructions for liberation. ‘Avadhuta’ means liberation and ‘Gita’ means instructions.
At this point, let’s understand the three fundamental things that are required to keep us away from all the negative thoughts.
1. All is one and one is all.
2. One has to meditate to experience the state of consciousness.
3.A healthy body and a functioning mind are essential for the meditation to happen.
Atmadhyana plays a very important role in the above process. This is not just information; these are regulations that will make you experience transformation irrespective of the present situation in your life. In fact, only by following this way of living, you will start to experience the real life that you are destined to live.
This process will make you realise that you are the ultimate reality. It is very easy to read, talk or listen about the truth that you are the ultimate reality but to accept it without any second opinion or doubts is possible only when you follow the above process of awareness.
This is the sole reason as why they didn’t insist on discipline; rather focuses on the commitment to the right process of sadhanas. Sadhanas are not just a routine activity done on a daily basis; it’s an awareness that you hold in your mind always which reminds you that you are the one.
You are not the body, you are not the mind; you are the Pure and Powerful energy always connected with the divine power which is everywhere, every time and in every one of us. Not everyone will understand and accept this easily, but a small metaphor can make you realise that we all are created by the same divine power.
Let us take a simple example from the Veda Sashtra that makes a profound difference. Whenever you feel your God is superior to some other God, tell yourself that there is no possibility of having two Gods in this world.
Look at water and ask whether it’s possible to have two kinds of water based on religion namely the Hindu water or the Muslim water etc. Of course the term water is known in different names based on language but that is not going to change the quality of water. This is the nature of God’s beautiful creations. Similarly the sky remains the same for all; it doesn’t vary according to people. Look at the sun, does it think before it gives light based on caste or community? No, it cannot and it can never.
These things remain universal for the entire humanity. Therefore always tell yourself that when the water, sun and sky remain the same for the entire humanity, the divine power that has created this universe has to be the same for everyone. There is no point in wasting time to find the right God.
If you really want to feel God, first realise that the God who is guiding and protecting us is the same for this entire humanity. This is the fundamental change that has to happen to experience peace among our fellow human beings. This is not only for inner peace; this is the foundation that every nationality and every community has to create to achieve global peace. This is the highest teaching of Avadhuta Gita and Veda Sashtra. In simple words, the inner peace is the only source of Global Peace. This will change every aspect of life because you will know and realise that you are not alone. You are always be protected and guided by the divine power in everyplace and every time without fail and this will give you peace immediately and instantly. The rest is magical.
Wishing you a life full of peace, health and happiness and above all success in every aspect of life.
