DDCA also withdrew their application from the Delhi High Court after both parties decided on an out-of-court settlement.
Earlier, DDCA had to get the occupancy certificate from the SDMC and until yesterday, the SDMC had demanded a fee of Rs 50 lakh from the association and compliance to complete the work within 20 days. It had asked the DDCA to correct a total of 47 violations inside the stadium.
The DDCA also agreed in court to give SDMC verbal assurance on maintaining safety standards and said that if anything happens on that front, the DDCA will be held responsible.
“We have given them verbal assurance that safety measures inside the stadium will be taken care of. Even the SDMC inspected the venue and was happy with the development. We are happy that the matches are on now,” said DDCA treasurer Ravinder Manchanda.
