Kerala defeat Telangana
Kerala started their quest for a Santosh Trophy berth on a bright note when they beat Telangana 2-0 in a crucial South Zone qualifying Group A encounter at the Nehru Stadium here on Thursday

With a second loss in as many matches, Telangana's campaign drew to a close. Kerala will meet hosts Tamil Nadu in the final league match on Saturday. A draw will see Tamil Nadu through to the Santosh Trophy proper championship on goal difference.
It only took 11 minutes for Kerala to assert their supremacy in the match through Firoz's header. Season increased the lead just before half time and Telangana's writing on the wall was clear as it was Kerala's show all the way.
