Bastian Schweinsteiger was seen putting his injury woes to one side as he spent some time food shopping with his tennis star girlfriend Ana Ivanovic.

The Germany international has been out of action since January after suffering a knee injury in their 1-0 FA Cup third-round win over Sheffield United, in what has been a frustrating season. Schweinsteiger will also miss United’s Europa League second leg tie against Danish side Midtjylland as they aim turnaround a 2-1 deficit. Louis van Gaal has been critical of his summer signing and back in December claimed that the former Bayern Munich man is not the same player he remembers.
