French Open toughest to win: Sania

Having won three Grand Slam titles in a row, Sania and Martina would hope to maintain the winning streak at the French Open, to be held in May. “I hope that the chances are bright, considering we won the last three g r a n d slams. But it is going to be our toughest Grand Slam to win. 

It is not our favourite surface. But we are doing whatever we can and hopefully we can get that ‘Santina’ slam, so to say,” she told reporters here. 

The Indo-Swiss pair’s 41-match winning streak came to a halt after the world number one women’s doubles combination went down fighting in the quarterfinals of the Qatar Open last week to Russian duo of Elena Vesnina and Daria Kasatkina.
