Local League: Bhati sizzles with the ball

Amit Bhati’s gentle offspin came in handy for North West Railways as they beat Southern Railway by 48 runs in the second junior all-India railway cricket championship for men here.

Batting first, North West Railways amassed 232 on the board in their stipulated 50 overs with Ravindra top scoring with 78. Abhishek Razak lent good support to Ravindra with a neatly compiled 70. 

Chasing, Southern Railway never got into the groove as Bhati spun a web among the batsmen. He returned with figures of five for 45. Despite useful contibutions from Mitchell Antony Mannayas (69) and S. Sudhan (52), Southern Railways could only manage 184.
