The first round of the Honda One Make Race (HOMR) will kickoff at Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore on June 24. The new season also marks the debut of a full-fledged race season for women racers, in which 10 riders will take to the grid. In an attempt to offer quality international racing in the country, that drew a blank in recent times, the fifth round of the Asia Dream Cup (ADC) will be held at the Buddh International Circuit in the national capital from September 29 to October 2.
Chennai’s Hari Krishnan and Sethu Rajiv will don the country’s colours at the ADC. In a bid to promote the sport at the grassroots level, Honda announced a helpline number – 0124-6712863 — for budding motorsport enthusiasts. Once contacted, the candidates will be given training on the nuances of two-wheeler racing at the Honda Ten10 Racing Academy and a career map would be made available.
