Ronaldinho, Giggs in Premier Futsal

The renowned players along with Michel Salgado form the marquee player list. The Chennai-team, named Chennai 5s, have roped in Falcao as their marquee player with Ney Pereira as their coach. The team is owned by Janani Rohit, an entrepreneur.  The originally planned eight-team league will now have only six franchises (Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata, Kochi, Bengaluru and Goa) with Hyderabad and Delhi missing out to find a place in the league.  The league will be played in two venues – Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai and Peddem Sports Complex in Goa. While Chennai will host the first leg of the league, Goa will be the venue for the second leg and the knockout stages, including the final.  The six franchises have been placed in two groups and two matches will be played in a day.
