Murali Vijay won?t be available for many matches

Chennai

The company is in the cinema industry and its Chief Operating Officer (COO) Raju Mahalingam finds a happy mixture of cinema and sports in his entertainment venture. The team gladly took Indian opener Murali Vijay as its first choice in the player draft knowing fully well that he won’t be there for many TNPL matches as the West Indies and England tours coupled with the Duleep Trophy would keep the opener busy.

“We have appointed Syed Mohammed as captain,” said Mahalingam at the draft. Syed Mohammed is an experienced campaigner having played Ranji Trophy both for Tamil Nadu and Assam in the last seven years. Mahalingam is pleased with the way things have gone in the player draft. In fact, he is happy that his think-tank has managed to buy all the players they had hoped for.

“We always aim for victory in every venture. This is the first season and we are going to win the title and lift the cup,” he said.  The team has placed its accent on all-rounders with Syed Mohammed, Vijay Shankar and Sivakumar among the top players they picked. Though Vijay Shankar is injured, the team management finds him a good investment for the future.

Team: Murali Vijay, Syed Mohammed, Mohammed M, Suryap Prakash L, Vijay Shankar, Siva Kumar, Rohith R, Vignesh K, Anirudh Sita Ram, Ajith Ram, Harish Kumar, Akshay V Srinivasan, Arun B, Anchit D, Kamalesh M, Tarun Srinivas, Adhithya Giridhar, Gowth am Thamarai
