TNPL opens with fun and frolic

Actor Madhavan and actress-singer Andrea J were the hosts of the evening. Singer Karthik started the evening with the Tamil Thai Vaazhtu which was followed by a ‘silambam’ performance. The first performance culminated with the Kabali song Neruppu da, that had the fans join in chorus. 

The audience was treated to dance performance of a host of popular Tamil beats. The performers then danced to the tunes of the TNPL theme song. The legends from the state, who played for the national team, were shown on the big screen. 

Actor Dhanush, with the TNPL trophy, was brought in an open battery vehicle to the stage. The actor handed over the trophy to TNCA President N Srinivasan along with the two captains of the day, R Sathish (Chepauk Super Gillies) and D Karthik (Tuti Patriots). 

The best was reserved for the last as actress Shriya Saran sizzled with peppy dance numbers such as Alegra, Kandasamy, Wrong wrong etc that had the fans in a trance as they went  ballistic and then a mass dance was performed  to the tune of the TNPL anthem that held the fans to the edge of their seats. The evening entertainment at the ceremony ended with synchronised fireworks.
