Speaking to DTNext, Jhingan said, “It’s a great feeling playing for them (Blasters) for the third time, the fans motivate us and help us play better. I’ve enjoyed every bit since I have joined this team.”

This year, Kerala Blasters haven’t had the greatest of start to the ISL winning, losing and sharing the spoils at two games apiece. The defender said the changes are for the good, “The biggest change is the coaching staff, Steve Coppell is the third coach for us in as many seasons. We have changed our style of play and adapted to his strategies.”

Speaking on the future of Indian football, Sandesh said playing in the World Cup will be a reality. “If you see how we played in the last stages of qualifying in the Asia Cup you know how much we have improved. We need to play more in Asian tourneys and ultimately play in the World Cup,” he concluded.
