Local League: Top seeds have it easy in petroleum chess tourney
The 28th inter-unit PSPB chess tournament hosted by Bharat Petroleum commenced in the city on Tuesday with ONGC-A, BPCL, IOCL-A, IOCL-B and ONGC-B scoring identical 4-0 wins over their opponents in the first round on Tuesday.

Harikirishna (BPCL), Sasikiran (ONGC), Vidit Gujarathi (ONGC), Sethuraman (ONGC), Abhijit Gupta (BPCL), Adhiban (IOC) , Surya Sekar Ganguly (IOC) and current National Champion Murali Karthikeyan (ONGC) are some of the star players in action.
Results: ONGC-A bt Oil India; EIL lost to BPCL; IOCL-A bt HPCL; AOD lost to IOCL-B; ONGC-B bt MRPL.
