Thailand Open: Praneeth moves to quarters, Sourabh out

Third seed B Sai Praneeth of India moved to quarter-finals of the Thailand Open badminton tournament while Sourabh Verma lost in the third round here today.
Praneet defeated Iskandar Zulkarnain of Malaysia 21-13 21-18 in just 41 minutes. Ranked 24th in world ranking the Indian shuttler has emerged victorious for the second time against 39th ranked Zulkarnain.
The Indian shuttler now faces Kantaphon Wangcharoen of Thailand in the quarter-finals.
The 12th seed Sourabh Verma lost to Brice Leverdez of France 21-16, 23-25, ?? 21-11 in one hour and six minutes encounter facing exit from the tournament.
Meanwhile, in mixed doubles Yogendran Khrishnan of Malaysia and Prajakta Sawant of India faced defeat to top seed Thai duo of Dechapol Puawaranukrro and Sabsiri Torrchechai 10-21, 9-21.
