Punjab National Bank thumps Odisha

Gagandeep Singh opened the scoring for the bank team in the ninth minute when he converted a penalty corner while Hardeep Singh doubled the lead in the next minute. Gurjinder Singh made it 3-0 in the 16th minute with a field goal and topped it up with another goal to make it 4-0 by the half-hour mark.

Odisha reduced the deficit by two with Asish Topno (34th minute) and Manip Kerketta (38) scoring. However, the bank team asserted their supremacy by scoring two more goals (Gagandeep 53, Sumit Toppo 54) to complete the rout. 

In the second match, Army XI beat Central Secretariat 2-1. Siraju AP (10) and BB Machaiah (69) scored for the army team while Sivamani S (33) was the lone scorer for Central Secretariat.
