Local League: Sabarish hogs the limelight in victory

Sabarish was ably assisted by V Karthik who took three for 39 as the duo restricted Chennai Sports Council to a modest 140. Bharathi CC had little trouble in chasing down that target as it won with five wickets to spare and 12 overs remaining. 

In another low-scoring match, Jigger Shah’s 6 for 33 went in vain as his team Galaxy Sports Club was bundled out for 88 to slump to a 24-run defeat to Fox Trotters Cricket Club. Chasing 113, Galaxy SC was folded up for 88. Fox Trotters’ K Surendar (3/17) and S Vijay Ashwath (4/32) bowled effectively in tandem to spell doom for Galaxy SC.
