Local League: 400 participate in Roller Skating
Vedanta Roller Skating Championship, hosted by Vedanta Academy, took place in the city on Sunday.

The exclusive school children event saw 400 students from across the city participate in various disciplines. Out of 400, 150 of them clinched trophies and medals in various categories. R Pratap Kumar, President of Chennai District Roller Skating Association, was the Chief Guest for the valedictory function of the championship.
Sadayavel elected President of TNSAA
The new office bearers, which comprised 29 members, were elected Tamil Nadu State Aquatic Association here on Monday. Sadayavel Kailasam was elected as the President of the association. He will be assisted by 10 Vice Presidents and 18 other members during his tenure of three years. The observer report for the elections was provided by the parent body of the Tamil Nadu State Aquatic Association, Swimming Federation of India.

Bharani Pandian clinches silver
G Bharani Pandian won a silver medal in the second Inter-school Tamil Nadu Power Lifting Championship. The event was organised by Thiruvallur District Power Lifting Association at ABS Vidya Mandir school in Thiruvallur on Sunday. Bharani, a Class XII student of Velemmal Matric Higher Secondary School, clinched the second spot in his category which included 400 participants from all over the state. He accomplished in Squad 50 kg, Bench Press 60 kg and Dead Lift 120 kg, which was enough to bag the silver medal.
