Tamil Nadu’s N Jagadeesan played a lone hand, scoring 113, after the other members fell like a pack of cards against Delhi in the Colonel CK Nayudu Trophy U-23 semi-final at Air Complex Ground, New Delhi.

Lalit Yadav was the pick of the bowlers, getting three wickets for just ten runs. In reply, Delhi remained at 30 without loss at stumps on day one.

Sanat Sangwan’s unbeaten hundred helped Delhi post a decent total against Tamil Nadu in a Cooch Behar Trophy Group ‘A’ match at St Stephen’s Ground, New Delhi. He was well supported by Gulzar Singh Sandhu, who remained not out on 61 at stumps on Friday. R Sonu Yadav scalped two wickets for Tamil Nadu in a day where the spoils were shared. Earlier, Tamil Nadu won the toss and elected to field.

Points shared as rain abandons match 

The encounter between Tamil Nadu and Punjab in the Women Senior One Day League was at DRIEMS Ground, Cuttack was abandoned due to rain without a single ball being bowled. Both teams took home two points and also opened their points tally in the tournament.
