Laxman trolls Russell Arnold ahead of ODI series

Veteran VVS Laxman trolled cricketer-turned-commentator Russel Arnold in Twitter after the latter posted a tweet and later found himself in a humiliating position. The south-paw had tweeted on Thursday about the belief he had in the islanders in avoiding a whitewash unlike what happened between the two sides few months back.

His tweet read, “So Test series ends 1-0 and I can promise you the ODI’s won’t end 5-0 like it did a few months ago”.

The former Sri Lankan batsman got a witty reply from a fellow member of the commentary panel, VVS Laxman, and was reminded about the number of limited-over encounters which will be played in the upcoming bilateral series between the nations.

It is not very often Laxman engages in a friendly banter with fellow cricketers. But replying to Arnold’s tweet, former India cricketer VVS Laxman said, “Sure Russel, it won’t in a 3 match series. This prediction won’t fail.”

After losing the Test series 0-1, Sri Lanka will lock horns against India in a three-match One Day International series, starting on December 10 in Dharamshala.
