Sanjay Natarajan to continue as logistics manager of CSK

Sanjay Natarajan will continue as the logistics manager of the Chennai Super Kings, a role that he served as a part of the support staff of the much-decorated franchise in the opening decade of the Indian Premier League. “I’m thankful to the CSK management for the opportunity,” said Sanjay to the official website of CSK.

“The senior players especially have been very approachable, understanding and share a very good rapport with the support staff. It is a very friendly atmosphere,” Natarajan continued.

He picked MS Dhoni’s final over blitz against Kings XI Punjab in Dharamsala in 2010 as his most memorable CSK moment.

“16 to get... Irfan Pathan is the bowler... make-or-break game for us... MSD on strike...4, 2 and then sends the third delivery out of the park and the next one into the stands to seal the win. We ran inside even before the ball landed,” he recollected.

Speaking about the team’s success in the first decade, Natarajan said, “Inspiring captaincy backed by a supportive management and the right choice of players.”  The 11th edition kicks off on April 7 with CSK taking on defending champion Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium.

“Ours is a large contingent and the logistics manager plays an important role in the smooth transfer of the team between centres,” said KS Viswanathan, CEO, CSK. “Sanjay has handled it very efficiently over the years.”
