All India Volleyball Tournament: TN women’s team wins thriller
Tamil Nadu women’s team had to wage a tough battle to win its match against South Central Railway (SCR) in TMB Trophy All India Volleyball Tournament in Thoothukudi on Thursday.

In a closely fought battle Tamil Nadu women’s team won the first two sets 25-17, 27-25. However, the SCR team bounced back strongly to win the next two sets by 25-23 and 25-20. In the decider, the SCR women did not put up a strong fight and let Tamil Nadu team win the last set 15-4.
The second match of the night, also played between two women teams, too proved a thriller for the fans as Kerala Police team and Sports Authority of India (SAI), Kerala, battled hard in a five setter.
The first set was taken by SAI (25-22), but Kerala Police team bounced back to take the second set 25-19. In the third set too Kerala Police team maintained its momentum and won the set 25-15.
However, in the fourth set, SAI bounced back and won 25-22. In the fifth and deciding set, both the teams were neck to neck in the score, but finally Kerala Police team edged past SAI 15-13. Kerala Police won 22-25, 2519, 25-15, 22-25 and 15-13.
