The aggressive southpaw, who hails from the port city of Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh, represented Dindigul Dragons in the first two editions of the TNPL.

"I followed the Draft closely and I'm grateful to my new team owners for placing their trust in me. Playing for a team that has performed consistently puts extra responsibility on me and I'm confident of shouldering it," said the 25-year-old.

Although an opener by trade, Sridhar Raju said he would be willing to bat at any position and has no problems adapting to the team’s requirements. “I have a flexible mind regarding my batting slot. Wherever my captain and coach deem it fit for me to bat, I will do so. I feel I’m up for any challenge and will do justice to it,” added Sridhar Raju.

According to Sridhar Raju, the squad assembled by CSG looks to have covered all the bases. “We have got plenty of options in every department. We have strengthened our spin bowling by acquiring M Ashwin. And more importantly, having already won the trophy once, the side knows what it takes to win it again,” explained Sridhar Raju, who plays for Jolly Rovers in the TNCA First Division.

Sridhar Raju hopes his association with CSG would enable him to imbibe the winning culture. “I’m looking forward to joining the team at the earliest. Playing under a coach like Hemang Badani will help me work on my technique and rectify short-comings,” signed-off Sridhar Raju.
