Dragons managed to seal the contest with an over to spare. Speaking on taking the chase till the end, the all-rounder asserted “We actually planned to take it (the chase) till the last over because we knew Rohit had a muscle pull and wouldn’t be able to bowl. We spoke about it and managed to get past the line. We planned to not take any risks but score as many as we could.”

Mohammed and Mohan Abhinav stitched a 35-run stand off 17 balls to propel their side to victory. He was all praise for Abhinav, who struck a six and a four during his 15-run knock.

“Abhinav played amazingly and struck some spectacular shots. We know each other well as we have played together at the district level. We had the understanding between us and we kept motivating each other.” The all-rounder pointed out that the pair was aware of when to unleash the big shots. “We obviously thought of winning, and we were just waiting for the right time to hit the big shots as the wind was blowing on the other side.”
