Asian Games: Two more medals assured in squash
With one more match to go in the group stages, both the men and women have assured India two more medals in the squash team event of the Asian Games here on Wednesday.

Having won all its matches till date, the final set of league matches on Thursday will decide whether India can top its Group in the men's and women's sections. Two teams from the two groups in each section make it to the semi-finals. With three medals already won in the singles phase and another two assured in the team event, this Games will be India's best show in squash till date with five medals.
Fluency marked India's show on Wednesday with both the men and women winning their matches by an identical 3-0 margin. The men defeated Thailand and the highlight was the presence of India's top player Saurav Ghosal, who had been rested earlier. Ghosal was stretched a bit in the third game by Poonsiri Phuwis but the Indian took that in his stride. Else it was smooth going. The women defeated China, with Dipika Pallikal, Joshna Chinappa and Sunayna Kuruvilla coming up trumps.

Women: India beat China 3-0 (Joshna Chinappa beat Dongji Li 5-11,11-8, 11-9, 11-6; Dipika Pallikal Karthik beat Siyu Duan 11-1, 11-4, 11-5; Sunayna Kuruvilla beat Xinru He 11-3, 11-6, 11-3)
