TN back in the clash

R Vimal Khumar (121 not out) smashed an unbeaten century to bring Tamil Nadu back into the contest against Baroda in the Cooch Behar Trophy Under-19 tournament in Vadodara on Saturday.

At stumps on the second day of the Elite C four-day duel, Tamil Nadu was 279 for three, holding a comfortable lead of 139 runs. A lot of credit will have to go to opener Vimal whose innings included 15 fours and one six. Fellow opener B Sai Sudharsan (67) supported him by making a half-century. Earlier, Baroda was bowled out for243, having a handsome 140-run first innings advantage.
