TNCA Thiruvallur DCA League Championship : Kapil guides Classic to victory

In a truncated fixture which was reduced to 20 overs per side due to wet outfield, Classic posted a good total of 167 for six. Chasing 168 for victory, Thiruvallur never got going as right-arm medium pacer Kapil bagged a five-wicket haul. Courtesy his great effort with the ball, Thiruvallur was dismissed for 100 in 18.3 overs.

In another contest, P Bharath Kumar (5/26) also dished out a good bowling performance to guide Lucas TVS Recreation Club to a three-wicket success over SRF Recreation Club.

II Division: Classic CC 167 for 6 in 20 overs (C Sudhakar 50, G Naveen Kumar 49, T Kapil 41, G Sathish Kumar 3/48) beat Thiruvallur CC 100 all-out in 18.3 overs (K Sudhakar 32, T Kapil 5/24);

IV Division: Jaya Educational Group 137 for 8 in 28 overs (S Prabhu 39, C Chandhrakumar 4/50) beat IEC RC 117 all-out in 27 overs (V Mohan 4/16);

SRF RC 107 all-out in 21.5 overs (Atul Dhivedi 33, P Bharath Kumar 5/26) lost to Lucas TVS RC 109 for 7 in 22.5 overs (U Vinoth Kannan 38, K Saravanan 4/21);

DRBCCC Hindu College 208 for 8 in 30 overs (M Lingan 25, S Dinesh Kumar 75*, Thendral 4/65) beat CPCL RC 69 all-out in 22.5 Overs (M Lingan 3/32, P Sabari Sathyanathan 3/5).
