After no play on the first day because of heavy showers, Assam was clean swept for 198 in 71.4 overs on day two, thanks to Swaminathan’s great spell. Responding to the host’s first innings total, Tamil Nadu was tottering at 43 for four in 16 overs.

Tamil Nadu on top against Tripura
P Vidyuth (4/43) scalped four wickets as Tamil Nadu bowled out Tripura for 171 in the Cooch Behar Trophy Under-19 Elite C four-day clash in Agartala on Saturday. At stumps on day two, Tamil Nadu was 17 for one, in reply to the home side’s first innings total. The opening day’s play had been washed out due to incessant rain. On Saturday, left-arm spinner Vidyuth delivered a good spell to put the visitor on top. He was well supported by H Prashid Akash (2/49) and Pradosh Ranjan Paul (2/25), who chipped in two wickets each.
