Scottish Junior Squash Open: Two gold medals for India

India’s Darshil Parasrampuria (Boys Under-11) and Anahat Singh (Girls Under-13) clinched titles in their respective age categories in the Scottish Junior Squash Open in Edinburgh (Scotland) on Monday.

Seeded 5/8, Darshil, who hails from Tamil Nadu, overcame second-seeded American Brendan Tagliarini with a stunning comeback effort. He emerged victorious by a scoreline of 8-11, 8-11, 14-12, 11-9, 12-10. The Indian had got the better of top seed Zack Paton (Scotland) in the semi-finals 11-3, 11-7, 11-4. Top seed Anahat justified her billing by trouncing Malaysian Keerrtty Haridharan 11-1, 11-1, 11-1. She did not drop a single game throughout the course of the competition.
